I also, can setup a ton of chances (some complete sitters), and more often then not I will either a) miss when it would be easier to put the ball away or b) hit the post/crossbar. The shooting/targeting engine has changed from FIFA 08, especially when it comes to long range efforts. In '08 I would almost always be able to score a finesse-type shot (inside of the foot curler, into the far corner) from outside the 16m box, off-center, sometimes running parallel to the goal (think of a Henry type goal from his Arsenal days). In FIFA 09 however, I have YET to score such a goal (and I create such chances on a daily basis). :'( Great tips – would absolutely love to see a video on this (as well as more shooting related videos).
