Hi Tarik,

I have a question about how to do free-kicks to score more goals because most of the time when i have a free-kick i try to drive my shot but the wall blocks it, when i shoot i often miss the net and when i curve the ball it always goes to the keepers hands. I'm wonduring if you can give me tips to score more often on free-kicks

LOL .. yeah i had that same problem when I was a Noob at fifa.. Yeah it depends on who you choose to take the free kick taker .. if you choose a person with power in thier free kicks then I normally would put them to take free kicks that are close to goal . also what I do is hold L1 + O to otu a " driven" shot towards goal . Similar technique that Mikel Arteta uses in real life free - kicks. When you choose a person that has a lot of curl in thier free kicks like Beckham , Id normally allocate them to take free kicks that are a good 30 - 40 yards towards goal. Also bear in mind when you take this type of free kick u can add topspin. Topspin is making the ball dip quicker towards goal. The free kick taker is very important as Hashim noted. Practice in the arena mode to get a good idea of how the ball bends vs. power when shooting. As a general rule...Over 30+ - drive the ball holding L1. Under 30 yards, use finesse.

driven shots are different i noticed it takes a while for it do rise and lower. this means you would hit them for more power. but tbh with you the best way to score with driven is going for the near post (away from the wall) which driven is needed to score the goal because the ball will rocket into the net. just remember when you take the freekick the ball will still curve just a little so depending on what foot ur freekick taker uses to kick the ball. If right footed the ball will curve left, and if left footed the ball will curve right. so when taking a driven shot just move your angling of the ball so that the ball will be driven and curve into the side netting

i normally never shoot with driven unless im 35+ yds out

yh gd point but for the vp accomplishment "curl a freekick in the arena" is reli irritatin now, i can curl constant free kicks all day n still nvr achieve it any ideas on wat shot selection to take any1?
